How to Install ratfor software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

ratfor software package provides Rational Fortran preprocessor for Fortran 77, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install ratfor

ratfor is installed in your system.

Make ensure the ratfor package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ratfor *

You will get with ratfor package name, version, architecture and description in a table
